Ashanti Douglas, also known as Ashanti and was born in Glen Cove New York United States 13 October 1980. She is a musician, singer and actor of her native United States. Ashanti was a star when she was a teenager, and was then signed by Murder Inc. Records by 2002. The singer was in The Fat Joe's What's Luv? song that was released the following year. She also appeared on Fat Joe's song"What's the Luv?" With Foolish and What's Luv as the top two songs She became the first woman to record two songs included in the Billboard Hot 100 chart top Ten in the United States. as number two. Tina Douglas, her mother, is a retired dance teacher. Ken-Kaide Douglas is her father. Kenashia Shia is her younger sibling. Douglas has named her in honour of her father, who was a member of the Ashanti Empire which was located in Ghana where women held power as well as influence. Her first single Foolish contains a sample from the 1983 hit song by DeBarge called Stay With Me. Ashanti has released her debut self-titled album in 2002, with Irv Goti's Murder Inc. label. The Declaration her fourth studio album was launched on June 3, 2008. On the 16th October Hey Baby (After the Club) was released on stations and digital platforms. The actress also appeared in the movies Christmas in the City, Army Wives and Latasha Monteclair. The track Rock wit U was sampled by British musician Aitch for his song Baby on the 10th of March 2022.
